Mouth Guard Policy
2014-02-20Mouth guard policy remains in effect.
A decision was rendered by ODMHA that a mouthguard was no longer mandatory and players may wear one.
The BMHL is of the position that mouthguards are an important part of our game and as such, on February 19, 2014 the BMHL voted unanimously to uphold its current mouth guard policy as written in The BMHL, Rules and regulations vers.5, Section D, Rule 22. which states:
"The use of mouth guards is mandatory. A player may be exempt from wearing a mouth guard only with a medical note. This note must be kept by the Teams Trainer and shown to the referee prior to the game. It must be on the bench at all times."
