Volunteer Information & Resources
The SouthEnd Minor Hockey Association (SEMHA) operates entirely through the efforts of Volunteers. Without them, over 600 children would not have the opportunity to participate in the Hockey Programs that are offered today by SouthEnd.
The more involvement we have, the stronger our Association is and the better the hockey experience will be for players and parents alike. We encourage you to take an active role in the Association by volunteering for one of the many positions it takes to make it happen and we thank you if you have already done that.
We have compiled information in this section to assist volunteers with their various positions. If you need help with anything, please don’t hesitate to contact members of the Executive or the Convenor for your level. If you have any suggestions about information you would like to see here, please contact the Risk & Safety Director.
All members of SEMHA are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct. This includes athletes, parents, directors and volunteers.
Where to find what you need
The following links should help you in becoming a volunteer or executing your volunteer tasks:
For the Novice (A & B) through Midget levels, coaches may wish to affiliate players as a way of ensuring they have sufficient players on the bench. Players in Initiation may not be affiliated. SEMHA now uses the club system therefore completion of a form is not required. If you are affiliating players for a tournamanent you will be required to prove that the player generally plays at a lower level by providing a copy of his official roster. You may also be asked for a letter from the president confirming that SEMHA uses the club system Club system affiliation letter.
