2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Hello Members, 
Our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on:
Date: Wednesday May 27, 2026
Time: 7:30 PM - approx. 9:30 PM
Virtual Meeting (Zoom link to be shared closer to the AGM date).

The purpose of the AGM is to provide the opportunity for Members to receive Year-End updates,
participate in governance, and elect the 2026 - 2027 Board of Directors.

The business for this year’s meeting includes:
1. Approval of the 2025 AGM meeting minutes and 2026 AGM agenda
2. Present the 2025-2026 Financial Statements and approval of the 2026-2027 Budget
3. Year-End Reports from our President, Vice Presidents, and Directors
4. Elections for the 2026-2027 Board of Director

Member Submissions for the Agenda
Members who wish to propose items for inclusion on the AGM agenda must submit their
request by Email to: casemha@gmail.com by Friday, May 1, 2026.

Please include your name, your player’s name (if applicable), and a brief description of the topic
you would like added.

Board Elections & Nomination Process
The nomination period is now open.
 Members may nominate themselves or another eligible Member
 Please complete the  OSMHA Nomination Form and submit to: casemha@gmail.com
no later than Friday, May 1, 2026.
 Please include the nominee’s name, the Board position being sought, and a short
statement of interest.
 A final list of eligible nominees will be circulated to all members before the AGM.
If positions remain vacant at the time of the meeting, nominations may be accepted from the
floor, in accordance with our association’s By-law.

Meeting Materials:
All Year-End Reports, Financial Statements, and supporting documents will be shared with
members in advance of the meeting to allow adequate time for review. These materials will be
emailed and posted on our website once available.

OTHER LEAGUE UPDATES:
Merger Update - Call for Special Meeting:
We are in the final stages of completing all draft resolutions and preparing the new Ottawa
South Minor Hockey Association By‑law. These documents are required to formally finalize the
amalgamation of the SouthEnd and Canterbury associations and to ensure full compliance with
the Ontario Not‑for‑Profit Corporations Act (ONCA).
Please note that a separate Special Meeting of Members will be held prior to the AGM. At this
meeting, members will be asked to review and vote on the proposed resolutions and the new
association By‑law, as these approvals are legally required to officialise the merger.
Further details, including the meeting date, agenda, and all supporting documents will be shared
in advance to ensure members have adequate time to review and prepare their questions or
comments.

As we wrap up the season, we want to give a BIG stick tap to all our amazing volunteers. You
kept things running smoothly, kept players safe, and kept the pace high. You were the MVPs
behind the bench all year.
Because of you, our Ottawa South players hit the ice ready to learn, grow, and have a blast.
